Siberian River Jade, SJW12: This is a natural jade specimen from the Vitim River in Siberia. A flashlight reveals the highly translucent green color in this stone. This would be a beautiful piece mounted on a burl wood base. River jades from Siberian come in a wide spectrum of colors, most of which are highly translucent. The brown oxidation polishes to beautiful shades of browns to reds (for examples look at our Siberian jade river carvings). These jades have become very rare over the last eight years.
